Christmas On the Farm: A Christmas Market in Oxfordshire

Christmas Market in Oxfordshire

Christmas Market in Oxfordshire

What is it that makes a Christmas Market in Oxfordshire feel truly special? Is it the soft glow of fairy lights strung across old barn beams, the scent of mulled cider wafting through the crisp winter air, or the warmth of conversation shared over handcrafted goods? Whatever it is, Christmas on the Farm captures that magic, that comforting, handmade feeling that reminds you what the festive season is really about.

Set in the welcoming embrace of our Oxfordshire farm, Christmas on the Farm stands out among the Christmas Markets in Oxfordshire as an experience that feels both timeless and personal. It isn’t about mass-produced trinkets or flashing plastic lights. It’s about community. It’s about artistry. It’s about the kind of craftsmanship that leaves fingerprints and heart in every creation. Each stall offers something made with intention - pottery, textiles, preserves, wreaths, candles, and more.

That’s what sets Christmas on the Farm apart: the authenticity, the care, the connection. Buying from a local maker isn’t just about finding a gift; it’s about investing in someone’s passion. Wander through the farmhouse and you’ll find yourself surrounded by a treasure trove of handcrafted delights. This year’s talented participants include Comhla, Cate Wise, Yogipod, Rae Anya, TinkerMade, Gems and Jules, Reversible Robin, Holy Cow Tea, Florence & Bee, Knit and Purl, Smiling Lion Designs, Calm Creations, Cosy Buddha, Oxford Farmhouse, Chafor Wine Estate, Hygge Confectionery, Crumbs and Brownies, and Bertie’s Bakes. Each maker brings something distinctive - from pottery and jewellery to cosy knitwear, handmade candles, artisan teas, and sweet treats that taste like nostalgia itself.

There’s something deeply grounding about meeting the people behind the work and seeing the faint brushstrokes on a ceramic mug, the intricate stitching on a hand-knitted scarf, or the sparkle in a jeweller’s eye as they describe their process. It’s this personal connection that makes Christmas on The Farm so special: every stall tells a story; every piece carries a touch of the maker’s hand.

And of course, no festive fair would be complete without good food and music. On Friday night, the Pizza Boys will be firing up their oven for fresh, wood-fired pizzas, while on Saturday, Jane Varney takes the reins with hearty, home-cooked fare. The Pig and Pony will be serving festive drinks throughout the weekend. There’s even talk of a coffee truck joining the lineup… stay tuned!

The festive soundtrack will be equally special: on Friday evening, enjoy live performances from Framus Cole and the Ashfold School Charity Committee Choir, filling the barn with harmony and holiday cheer. Then on Saturday afternoon, the David Stacey Band takes the stage, bringing a joyful rhythm to your shopping and sipping.

So come and find your own piece of Christmas on the farm. Wander, taste, listen, and discover something that feels just right, the way a favourite mug fits perfectly in your hand.

Christmas on the Farm takes place on Friday, December 5th from 3pm to 8pm and Saturday, December 6th from 10am to 5pm, inviting you to enjoy two festive days filled with local makers, music, and merriment at one of the most heartwarming Christmas Markets in Oxfordshire.
