The Art Barns at Bernwood Pottery 9 - 17 May, 2026
We are delighted to be hosting a special exhibition with events during Oxfordshire Artweeks this year. For 2026 we are featuring new work by:
Debbie Page, Charlie Leech, Rita Rattray, Julie Furniss, Rachel Kelly, Elizabeth Murphy, Cate Wise and Georgina Weston
Additionally we are running demonstrations over the weekend and special workshops during the course of the week.
We are especially proud to be collaborating with Beckley CoE Primary School this year. We have had an opportunity to run a clay workshop with the children at this school and will be unveiling a special art installation of their work during Artweeks. Additionally, our tea and cake stand will be fundraising proceeds towards this local primary school this year.
Monday 11 May | Ceramic Lanterns | 2-4:30pm | £50
Inspired by the garden lanterns of Rita Rattray, we will create our own ceramic lanterns. Working with pre-made ceramic cylinders, we will carve, pierce, and inscribe our own design. The final piece is suitable for indoor use or in the garden and will be ready to collect fully fired and glazed 3 weeks after the event.
Finished product is approximately 17cm High x 13cm Diameter
Wednesday 13 May | Decorating with Sprig Moulds | 2-4:30pm | £50
Influenced by the exhibiting artists Julie Furniss, Charlie Leech, and Elizabeth Murphy, who use the sprig mould technique in their work, this is an opportunity to create your own pieces using this method. Each participant will be supplied with a leather hard bowl and vase in order to accentuate using various sprig moulds. The final works will be ready to collect, fully fired and glazed 3 weeks after the event.
