Set the Table for Summer
Long lunches and dinners outside are one of the best parts of summer, and a beautiful serving bowl makes an easy centrepiece for the table.
Our nature-inspired collections work particularly well during the warmer months. The Oak Leaf Collection brings a botanical feel to the table, with serving bowls, trays and mugs that celebrate the natural world. Fill a large serving bowl with a colourful summer salad, add fresh bread and sharing dishes, and you've got the beginnings of an effortlessly inviting table.
For something with more of a coastal feel, the Lobster Collection is made for summer entertaining. From the handmade ceramic serving tray to bowls and mugs, the lobster design adds a playful seaside touch that's perfect for seafood lunches, barbecues and evenings spent dining outdoors.
If you prefer something a little more delicate, the Soaring Birds Collection brings a beautiful nature-inspired detail to the table. Serving bowls and trays are ideal for salads, fruit and sharing dishes, while the bird design gives each piece plenty of personality.

Bring Summer Flowers Indoors
One of the easiest ways to celebrate the season at home is with flowers. Whether you've picked a few stems from the garden or brought home a bunch from the market, a handmade vase can completely change how they look.
Bernwood Pottery's Flutter Vases make a lovely addition to a summer table, windowsill or bedside cabinet. Alternatively, a small bud vase is perfect for displaying just one or two favourite stems. You don't need an elaborate arrangement – sometimes a few simple garden flowers are all that's needed.
Ceramics for Everyday Summer Moments
Summer ceramics don't have to be reserved for entertaining. Some of the loveliest pieces are those that become part of your everyday routine.
A handmade mug is perfect for a quiet morning coffee outside, while Bernwood Pottery's smaller flat white cups are just right for a leisurely coffee in the sunshine. With finishes including Green Jade, Seascape and Blue Horizon, there are plenty of colours that feel particularly at home during summer.
The beauty of handmade pottery is that every piece has its own character. Small differences in shape, surface and finish are all part of what makes ceramics made by hand feel so different from something mass-produced.
And while these pieces may feel particularly suited to sunny days, they're designed to stay in your home long after summer is over.
From statement serving bowls and trays to mugs, cups and vases, discover Bernwood Pottery's handmade ceramic collections and find something to bring a little more colour and craftsmanship to your home this summer.
